Mark is a Cat 2 cyclist, bicycled across the United States twice and
completed an Ironman Triathlon. He lives in San Diego.
It's a book about Garmin-Cervelo team which is operating with half the
budget of other rich teams. They have a quite successful 2011 but have a lot
of misfortunes this year.
ii) Sky's the Limit: British Cycling's Quest to Conquer the Tour de France
by Richard Moore
It's a book about Team Sky which is obviously very successful this year.
These are the stories of the people who are trying to bring some sort of
reform and new blood to the sport. If you get a chance to read them, you
might have a better understanding of the problems facing cycling as opposed
to other commercial sports. And, I surely hope you will be inspired as I
have been by their courage to take cycling into a new era. |
