(actually 1024x576 upscaled)的HD版本，只能用windows mediaplayer 9 在电脑上放（
当然也以tv-out到HD-TV上）。另外regular版本的画质也比原来的utimate edition有挺
明显的进步。

i can do 1920x540 on my HDTV, interlaced. what shall I do with my T2 ultimate
edition. suck suck suck! i hate to pay more $. but i so love T2. :(((

9000 on my notebook with a s-video tv-out. When I connect it to my HD
compatible TV, it looks so blurry. and I can't change the resolution on TV. I
heard something called powerstrip but have no idea how to use that...

发帖数: 139 | 4 use powerstrip . you need to use the VGA to RGBHV cable to output VGA signal
to HDTV. Search google to download it. The software is made in taiwan.
It's discussed in very detail on avsforum.com , HTPC board.
but i myself normally only use 640X480 to watch divx and DVD... I saved
some shortcuts by powerstrip like 720X480 as well, but after playing with
it for long time I still feel 640X480 is good enough for normal viewing.
I spent LOTs of time tweaking it, many weeks. It's very exhausting.

all. Too bad my tv doesn't have RGB input. but I can seem to use a VGA to
component video adaptor.
I actually tried powerstrip yesterday and didn't have a clue how to set up
those so many parameters at all...so even if I don't tweak the VGA put to the
preferred resolution for the HDTV, the HDTV can still take it and display
well?

overscan problem which can't be corrected at all unless you use weird
resolution. I don't have overscan on 720X480 though, but the full screen
does not seem right. what I did before is to set it to 1920X540 (which is
so extreme that the font become sooo narrow! unreadable at all), then
set powerdvd or windvd NOT to keep retio when zooming, this way windvd will
expand the picture to cover the entire 1920X540. However, this wor

bought a RGB to component converter from circuit city (the last one!) and did
some experiement today. I tried 640x480, the result dosen't look very good
because I need to use TV's blow-out feature to make it full screen. but I was
able to set to 856x480 with powerstrip. With WinDVD I got surprisingly good
picture, as good as using a progressive scan DVD player, if not better. I
found different DVD softwares make quite big d

2D is very good, but its full screen acceleration SUCKS big time.
I have to stick to my AIW7500 finally. I use the VGA out.
The best solution is to have DVI out to TV's DVI in, but my TV has no DVI. :(
I'll try 856@480 someday.

But my laptop doesn't have a DVI out anyway. I'm not even sure if I'll still
continue investing on this. The converter cost me $80 and I still need to buy
something like Xitel hifi-link pro (another $80) to get the digital audio out
to the my receiver:-(

view area for most DVDs and divx are quite small.
also it's why I have to use 640X480.

want to buy another one just to watch DVD (I've had 2 extra DVD players
sitting there collecting dust)...so just don't want to spend more money and
try to use what I've got.
Sigh, I wish I could have known this VGA-out thing earlier, then I definitely
would not have bought a region free DVD player from China, which I rarely use
now. I'm thinking of selling it soon...
