做数据库的人做数据挖掘的是SIGIR和SIGKDD。
做机器学习方面的是NIPS和ICML。
还有一些小群体的会议，比如COLT，也非常好，但是很理论，对Industry没啥指导意义。

AISTATS是二流水平会议。
WWW在二三流之间。
ICDM是三流水平的会议。

AISTATS and WWW are tier 1 (or 1.5), for ICDM I would say tier 1.5 or 2
CVPR/ICCV/ACL/etc, sure they are not pure ML/DS conferences, but important
works are published there, e.g., deep learning, graph cut, sparse coding,
etc
