事情已经过去将近半年了，非常抱歉现在才把总结贴上来。这中间也陆续收到了一些朋
友的询问，我都一一回复了，欢迎大家有疑问继续给我发信。
整个事情的过程非常曲折，这中间多亏了版上很多同学提供的相关信息，帮助我们找解
决问题的办法。另外特别感谢xmujoe同学的帮助，他的case和我的一模一样，我们共同
探讨，不断尝试，最终几乎在同样的时间拿到了OPT，但是都比希望的时间延迟了很多。

下面是我整个事情的Timeline:
- OPT Application Received by USCIS: 03/27/2013
- OPT Denial Notice: 05/23/2013 (Reason: USCIS counted part-time CPT,
multiplied by 50%, into the full-time CPT duration, which is a mistake
according to section 2.4.5.5.3.4 in the “SEVIS User’s Manual”. Denial
notice says "there is no appeal to this decision", but "you may file a
motion on Form I-290B", within 30 days of this notice)
- Notify OISS and Ask for Help: 05/28/2013 (OISS contacted USCIS CSC via
email. No motion filed)
- OPT Application Reopen Notice: 06/05/2013
- USCIS CSC Response to OISS: 06/06/2013 (Indicating they will issue a RFE)
- RFE Notice: 06/07/2013 (USCIS asking OISS to make another OPT request in
SEVIS and issue a new OPT I-20, as the previous request was already
cancelled due to the denial)
- RFE Response Received by USCIS: 06/14/2013
- Call USCIS Customer Service: 06/26/2013 (asking for expedited processing)
- USCIS CSC Response: 06/27/2013 ("Your case is currently being adjudicated.
You should receive a notice of action* within 45 days.")
- InfoPass Appointment 1: 07/01/2013 (Response is exactly the same as the 06
/27 CSC response)
- InfoPass Appointment 2: 07/15/2013 (No updates or useful information)
- OPT Approval Notice: 07/17/2013
- EAD Card Delivered: 07/22/2013
Other Info:
- I-20 Program End Date: 06/14/2013
- Requested OPT Period: 06/15/2013 - 06/14/2014
- PhD Defense Date: 04/30/2013
- Dissertation Filing Date: 06/14/2013
