I think. Besides, where are you? do you have a machine linked on internet by
LAN? If so I can do a little more for you. Cause the install of postgresql
on some linux is not very smooth.

it's really tricky to install and let it compile. I'm struggling to
install the JDBC interface. 555. it's consuming my patience.
But it's the public moused cool stuff. Only second to, if not better than
Oracle in my humble opinion. support distributed operation, complex data
structure, even fullfill the cartrige function of oracle. So worth it.
btw, you'll put urself on piece of thin ice with oracle. It just keep
downing,
you just die.
