I downloaded Oracle discoverer from oracle site. As the instruction, running
th e,bat file produce a exe file. By the oracle instruction, runing exe file
should
generate /disk1 directory which . But actually after double clicking the file,
the execution stop immediately. Nothing happened.
Anyone know why?

universal installer comes with every product but actually
it is independant with indevidual product.
there are some bugs with universal installer with version < 2.
it doesn't like some hardware/software introduced after
itself. sometimes, it doesn't work with P4. sometimes,
it doesn't work with newer versions of jre. if that is the
case, please download oracle 9i and start the setup program
in the disk1 directory. in the first several instal
