computer database of people's physical characteristics, all part of an
effort the bureau says to better identify criminals and terrorists.
The FBI wants to use eye scans, combined with other data, to help identify

has very good
extensibility(udf+xml+java) as well as descent support on large objects. I
believe IBM's mainframe will win
this battle for sure.

clustered organized table in DB2 is much less painful and well optimized for
parallel plans.
second DB2 on mainframe has been proved to be the stable if not the most
stable DB platform for high volume transactions.
Third, IBM has way more connections to government than Oracle. And
government like to choose proven technology which sustainable for long time.
Just like this project, it is 10 years project and likely to be renewed |
