rt.
Which VM is better? I installed VM box now (on my XP professional), but have
no idea how to get an static IP.
How about VMware, is it easy to install solaris/Linux? is it easy to
configure IP?
For Linux, I plan to try enterprise Linux offered free by Oracle.
Thanks,

I setup oracle 11g RAC using VMWare + Oracle linux on my XP home. |

:)
After you installed VMware (and Linux), could the IP you get be served as
the public IP for the RAC? Any special networking work needed to be invloved?
Are you using Redhat for OS?
When you configure RAC, how did you configure shared disk? |

As I remember, there are free versions for linux OS.
You can probably find the 'free' version online for windows.
