Role: Analytics Engineer
Location: New York
Responsibilities:
The analytics engineer will develop and execute complex business and
database analytics. These activities are a critical part of our customer
deployments, and analysts are expected to identify and resolve issues
relating to data gathering and analytic model building. The analyst will
work closely with a customer delivery team composed of 2-3 people with mixed
backgrounds (business & sales, mathematics & predictive analytics, database
& data management).
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of SQL (via SQL Server, Access, Oracle, etc.).
* Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field such as math, physics,
computer science, operations research, engineering, or a similar area.
* Experience delivering business insights from data using pivot tables,
advanced excel models, or business intelligence tools.
* Strong communications skills including the ability to convey complex
concepts to colleagues and clients.
* Ability to solve previously unseen problems in a creative manner.
* A can-do attitude and an owner mentality.
* Applicant could be an analyst in a consulting firm, investment firm or
large company (e.g. eBay). Outstanding recent graduates from top schools
will also be considered.
* Some travel (30%) and customer-site work may be required.
