I have been doing some research about the ASP.NET MVC framework these days.
I am sure some of you may have checked it out as well. How do you like it?
It looks like that it is going to be the next generation of ASP.NET web dev

Not big interest in Asp.Net any more. We are considering coding most
of our future Web projects in SilverLight.

that is a big advantage comparing to traditional asp.net
but I don't like everything in a template, which makes less felxibility

Care to talk about why you consider SL rather than Flash?

SilverLight is a natural extension from the server .Net world into the
client side browsers. One C# rules both ends, which is huge. With Flash
it's Actionscript at client and something else at server, which is a
hassle. Also .Net is much more mature platform than the toyish Adobe
Flex. If you learn SilverLight, chances are you can pick up WPF easily
as well, which makes you good at both web and desktop development. One
stone two birds, which makes you more skillful.
Still SilverLight is far fro

| k***r 发帖数: 4260 | 10 Thanks for the reply. I want to like SL better but it is indeed missing a
lot of things. A GUI designer being one of them. Other than that, although
SL does a little what Flex can do, it doesn't do much Flash does. It doesn't
do Flash-like animation. Also, I personally think the XML-based layout
descript sucks the same way Flex does. (Now that you have a complete
language, why use XML?)
I'm not too sure about WPF, either. MFC -> WinForm -> WPF, it seems that M$
is always looking for an answer bu
