Robert—Just so you are aware, Immigration Voice was in town last week with
a big gathering. They have hired a new lobbyist. In the past they have
paid up to $10,000 per month.
They are asking for the repeal of per-country caps on EB visa numbers as
their top priority. If that is done without any other change—like
recapture or not counting dependents, India will get most of the EB-3
numbers and a higher percentage of EB-2 than they are getting today. China
will benefit little if at all.
All the money spent on the lawsuit has been wasted. And you have failed to
build a constituency for lobbying. Immigration Voice is having a big impact
and you are having none.—Bruce
说实话，游说很费钱，效果有限。举个例子吧，就像我们上大学食堂吃饭，大厨手抖一
抖，你就多几片肉，少抖一抖，你就少几片肉。
如果现有排期捆绑的规则不变的话，游说只能在有限的空间，为大家争取有限的名额。
但是IV一直坚持用游说来解决问题。LIA认为这个与印度人团结，民族文化没有什么具
体关系，主要是印度人由于排期太长，对组织期望不是太高，再加上人多，所以一直拥
有大量的资金来进行游说。同时，他们相对于我们也是既得利益者！
而中国移民的起点高，大家的胃口原不止这点名额。这种办法不适合我们中国移民的实
际情况。今后除非大家志愿要求，ＬＩＡ绝不会在网上搞这种吃力不讨好的捐款活动。
Ｒobert当年最大的错，就是当ＬＩＡ法律小组发现不可以用诉讼解决排期捆绑时，ｒ
ｏｂｅｒｔ一定用游说来解决问题而拒不采纳其他意见，才造成组织的分裂，在网上骂
声一片。
现在看来，如果当时封存这笔钱，给大家更多的时间去思索和讨论，效果可能会更好。
Robert还是LIA的主席，但经过这么多的事，当年的意气风发和独断专行也一去不复返
了。
我们也没有必要再纠结于过去的往事，团结一致向前看才是正道。
作为一个排期快到的老LIA志愿者，我真心希望新的朋友能加入LIA，大家一起来想办法
。我们也乐意把我们上访议员，游说，帮助EB3 诉讼的经验教训
告诉大家，让大家少走弯路
同时也预祝NIU和老猪成功上诉奥本，为大家争取最大的利益

7%limit提高的一个好处是中国的标准配额就可以提高. 比如如果配额是10%,
EB2C现在的限额就是10/7 * 2800. 这个提高还是不错的.印度也吃不掉这个份额.
而且完全取消配额是不可能的. 其他国家的人肯定有意见

提这钱就语塞,那是很难再搞钱做游说的. |

不过人家靠这个吃饭的做这样的事情不奇怪，傻乎乎地上套就怪不得被人骗了。
