cover all expenses.
Her husband actually had applied EB2 and the PD is 01/2008 and possibly he
can file I485 this September.
So the question is whether my friend should file EB1 this October. Is it
legal to file two different green card applications, maybe file two I485 at

For a faculty member, getting the green card is just an issue of time. The
job is stable for at least six years, and the EB2 should be approved within
two years in her case. It takes time to prepare EB1 application, e.g.
seeking reference letters. It will be more effective if she spends the time
to write proposals and papers.
