Dear Mr. President:
I am writing to raise your concern about status of employee based legal
immigrants.
We are legal immigrants living in United States for many years. We are
working hard to help the economy of this country. We are paying tax dollars
and abiding by the laws. We would like to become part of this country.
However, today we are seriously held back in the immigration process because
of unnatural and unreasonable processing delays in the legal immigration
system. We have been ignored for years by the congress and the president.
This country has its foundation based on the immigrants from all around the
world, and the immigrants have helped keep foundation strong for decades.
Unfortunately, this legal immigrant community has to be struggling to stay
in this country.
Therefore, we strongly suggest the legislation and administration to take
the following actions to ease our pain, as well as help the economy of
United States. With these actions, many members of this skilled workforce
community would be ready to buy new homes and start new business. They are
not able to do so now, simply because of the unreasonably slow processing
time and the huge uncertainty about the future of their families and careers.
