由于办公室政治，被迫跳槽，但收到xxx company HR email:
Prior to your start date with Xxx company, we will need to verify your
employment with Yyy (once you have given notice).
xxx is my perspective company, and Yyy is my current company.
这是什么调查？申请xxx时问了现在manager的contact info, 会不会有麻烦？现在
manager会不会说坏话

reference check, which normally happen after a hiring decision has been made
. Nothing unusual.
If still not sure, you should ask in "working" board.

normal.
we are just afraid that her manger will play hard ball here and screw this
up. it's really not easy for h1b to find job today.
