今天对照版上的485 checklist查查自己有哪些,天哪,才惊觉前些年我已把I-20表及OPT
的EAD卡作废物处理掉了.请问,交485时这些(I-20及OPT的EAD)是否是必须的? 手上倒是
有四张I-797(一张博后的,三张公司的含extension),这些是否够了? | M**i

I-797未受到或者遗失咋办？
如果你从USCIS website 得知你的J waiver case已经批准30天，未收到I-797,马上到
USCIS local office 去Infopass, 要求USCIS马上重新寄一份copy.
如果过了一定时间没有找USCIS 查询，只能file I-824, 并且支付$405.00, 要求USCIS
重新寄一份copy,这种情况属于本人丢失。
如果你遗失I-797，只能file I-824, 并且支付$405.00, 要求USCIS重新寄一份copy

If you are H-1B, then you don't need to I-20. (Many folks here do include
their I-20 --- there is nothing wrong with it either.)
However, I am afraid that your previvous EAD card is needed for I-765.(I don
't know how strict uscis is with this. After all, uscis should have your EAD

the time, you'll need to include I-20s. But if you left and reentered US
with h1, you can just include h1 docs.
For EAD, it's not that a big deal if your opt card is lost. I cannot find
mine and I just include a letter stating the card was lost. I got EAD card
without any issue.

had valid non-immigration status since your last entry, although your
current status may be an indirect proof but uscis can always and reasonably
request this proof.
The easiest way to solve this problem once and for all is to leave US and re
-enter again on a visa. This would give you a clean slate for filing 485 and
all previous i20i94 would be irrelevant.
