Just sigh to see so many opportunities got slipped away as GC really plays a
big role in many decision making. I must be too conservative due to so much
suffering from the shenfeng problem in the past years --- already reaching
the 9th year H1B and changed jobs for 4 times. The most adorable time within
the whole life has been wasted by being kept in low level and boring work
with limited time (and always in a hurry) with families and friends...
really hate this system to the bottom of my heart. |

丫有EAD,跟绿卡木有多大差别,还瞎叽歪个P。

1. you can't change job category
2. for primary applicant(s), it is not easy to make changes as the whole
family is "rooted" on you
3. not all companys understand the difference between EAD and GC. And some
company will ask if you need any H1B transfer or any sponsorship for your
job change. To your best choice, you might ask for H1B transfer, which could
stun the hiring manager back as they worry about company policy fluctuation
and HR resistance. If you don't ask for it, you expose yourself to the risk
of get out-of-status in case of 485 rejection
And more minor stuffs, but the most negative side in my case is that:
without entering the pending phase, I can focus on my goals and keep track
of daily schedule without too much distraction. however, once in the pool,
there is always some voice haunting around that you may have a chance to
look otherwise. It just opens the Pandora box.
And it is an everyday reminder to shovel up all the deposit memory of the
past 12 years with sour-sweet-bitterness-spicy, and the worst of all, this
anxiety could last more than one year, or even longer ...

老老实实忍着, 该干什么干什么。 抱怨没用。
没有一个人知道到底什么时候能绿,奥杀现在也不知道09年的排期能到哪儿。
