promotion的机会，如果我过去的话，因为工作性质发生了变化，需要重新file PERM和
140。
如果我5月份过去，重新开始file PERM，如果在今年10月份之前没有递交PERM的话，是
不是到明年不能做H1b的extension？
请有经验的大侠帮忙回答一下，谢谢 |

You might get extended time for the amended H1B, might not.
If no extended time for the amended H1B, you still can do H1B extension next
year.
When doing H1B amendment, attach 140 approval notice.

H1B needs amendment.
This amended H1B might have 3 year extension, not just till next Oct.
If it is only till next Oct, you can still do H1B extension on next Oct
even PERM is not filed on time.
PERM needs to be re-filed.
Remember do H1B amendment if your attorney will say currently holding
the position on filing new PERM.
