your greencard situation as long as the new job is within the same industry

I'm on the same boat and that's what I got from the discussion with my
attorney. As my employer doesn't want to pay, I gave up on the downgrade.
and I think if you do it now, the timing difference will be 6 months(30%
chance) or 3 months(70%chance). But again, it all depends on whether your
employer pays or not.
