2) you need to look for the problem within the job description other than
the lawyer, if the req salary is 40k higher.
3) consult with your HR see if you guys can meet in the middle. I was short
on my prev wage too, but only for 12k, and the USCIS? didn't really care for
it and approved it. no one really gives money according to prev. wage
anymore, they will just fire/lay off you or put your file on hold till your
salary reaches that point in the future. or if you are really lucky, in a
non-profit, you can get away with just 28k a year for pretty much any non-
managerial position if your lawyer isn't a retard.
