797表上h1b过期日，写成了visa stamp过期日（就一年），现在可以怎么办呢？在file
485的时候发现了这个问题 |

发帖数: 361 | 5 in fact it is! initially I thought my legal status in the US is defined/
determined by h1b 797 (USCIS) - nothing to do with CBP. however once you are
marked by CBP when entering the country, that date in CBP system is the
only LEGAL time period a foreigner can stay.
Once that CBP marked date is not marked correctly, you either file H1b
amendment with USCIS to make your new h1b 797 to be consistent with CBP, or
you ask CBP to make a correction.
just for reference: for h1b holder, CBP usually marks the expiration date on
797; for f1 holder, CBP marks the expiration date on i20; for whose
passport is about to expire, CBP marks the expiration date of the passport!
