congressman:
The USCIS Nebraska Service Center (NSC) conducted a supervisory review to
determine the cause of the card production delays. In their email to me
today, they reported that their print production facility has had some
printing issues.
NSC said they have two card production facilities. They took one offline
recently to make upgrades. This has resulted in a temporary delay and has
added to card production times. USCIS said the production facility was
expected to come back online this week but that the backlog may not be
cleared before the end of September and “At this time we cannot state when
these two cards will be printed and mailed.”
NSC also said that staff at the facility are working additional shifts in
order to catch up. | o*********r
