发帖数: 8 | 1 先请教个问题：绿卡发放后，孩子的SSN需要自己去SSA申请，还是会自动寄到家里？
比如我知道H4EAD申请批准之后，SSA和USCIS是信息分享的，SSN是自动发放的不需要自
己主动申请。
分享一下时间线，感谢各位朋友早先的信息，也希望对后来的朋友有点帮助

Field office: 暂时不想说
2/1/2019 PD became current
485 Filed: 2/27/2019
485 Received: 3/11/2019
Biometrics: 4/15/2019
Combo card approved: 8/16/2019
RTS: 8/19/2019
Interview Sceduled:10/8/2019 ( no case status change until 5/5/2020)
ID: 11/10/2019 (PD no longer current, retrogression)
5/1/2020 PD became current again
New card is being produced: 5/5/2020
Case approved: 5/6/2020

Interview

interview scheduled on 1:15 PM
12:40 – 12:45
Security check -- verifying passport and interview notice
Information desk -- accepting interview notice and assigning to Window* on
the first floor
12:45 – 1:10
Window* – verify passport, taking photo and fingerprints, returning
interview notice, and assigning to Door* on the 2nd floor
1:15 -- 1: 50
The officer was calling our names on time. And there was another officer in
the office. The first officer said that his colleague would oversee the
interview. The interview was conducted by two officers.
1. The first officer: Verifying passports and driver’s licenses, and
keeping the copies
2. The first officer: Asking us 485 first part personal information
separately
3. The first officer: Asking us 485 almost all Yes/No questions
together
4. The first officer: Asking us if we have any updated documents for
him, and accepting the following documents:
a. I – 693 Medical examination results sealed in envelopes
b. Employment verification letter
c. Paystubs in last 3 months
d. Photocopies of Tax return files – IRS tax transcript, W2,
IRS 1040
e. Photocopies of H1B receipts
f. photocopies of recently renewed passports (he said he didn
’t really need it)
g. photocopies of I-94 forms
5. The first officer: Asking additional questions and taking notes
6. The second officer asking questions and the first officer taking
notes
a. Current employer, starting date, current base salary, job
title
b. Walking through the timeline from F1 -> OPT -> OPT STEM
extension -> 1st H1B -> 2nd H1B ... , and asking questions about school
name, study major, obtained degree, job, work authorization
7. The first officer: asking us if we have any questions and giving
the following answers
a. He didn’t see any issues in the interview and didn’t have
any other questions to ask
b. The case would be sent to National Visa Center(exactly what
he said), and the case would be processed at there and would not be sent
back to the Field Office.

发帖数: 8 | 6 当时也想知道在哪里，但不知道有什么简单办法查，所以也就没查。面试结束一直就这
么等着，啥也没做。网上的状态一直是interview scheduled没变，也一直放宽心没管
，直到本周接到通知才变了。
该是你的就一定是你的，这么多年都等了，不在于多等几个星期甚至几个月，目前大多
数案子应该当月能批，你一定会有好消息的。

发帖数: 8 | 8 非常感谢回复， 和我预计的差不多。 看来只有从境外入境的批准案子和境内申请EAD
的案子才不需要自己申请。
这个online办不了，目前SSA都关门了，也不到何时开门，原打算能办个SSN省些税。
