听说purdue的工科不错，可是地方不好，不知道phd毕了也找工作是否容易。
加州的工作貌似挺好找的，master毕业要是能找到工作也不错。可是听说USC的课程设
置不好，master都没有导师，可能学不到什么东西。所以比较烦愁，不知道哪个更好。
请教牛人指点！ |

admission. So too many students, so it is not easy to get an offer later if
you want to PhD. there are a lot of self paid PhD. But the location is
convient to land a job.
BTW,
The enviroment is not safe. Eveyone I know got robbery.
But the church offer good chinese food. |

I stayed at USC for five years, and never had a robbery..
Among hundreds of my USC friends in the five-year span, I only two had this
kind of bad luck (robbery).

berkeley, yah, it's that bad...
that being said, none of my friends at usc had any personal experience
with armed robbery. the most common form of crime is bike thief |

发帖数: 3382 | 10 Academically, USC and Purdue are at similar level.
Unless you are more interested in research and want to continue w/ a PhD, I
would recommend USC for its location:
1) more fun during your study there.
2) it is in CA and relatively easier for EE jobs.
Keep in mind that
1) there are about 900~1000 EE MS students in USC, don't expect a lot of
faculty attention or RA/TA.
2) It is not in a safe neighbourhood, but it is the same for many univ:
Columbia, Penn, ... Maybe part of the price of being in
