and plot the bode plot and root locus to see the stable margin.
if it is a siso system, run 'sisotool', that will help you to design the
compensator.

stable poles, the system is internally stable, how come zeros affect it? unless you are saying this is an open-loop stable system but the feedback makes it unstable.

the cutoff frequency when going below x axis.
I could be wrong, it's been too long ago.
unless you are saying this is an open-loop stable system but the feedback
makes it unstable.
