Summary of Position Work within the I/E & Control Systems Department
Responsibilities/Competencies Work within the I/E & Control Systems
Department
• Work on control systems engineering and designs for large industrial
projects in midstream gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical,
and upstream oil & gas industries
• Act as a control systems engineer for selected projects
* Interact with other engineering disciplines, engineering and construction
project managers, and clients
• Provide input to the initial project schedule and support the
regular maintenance of project schedules for designated projects. Recommend
appropriate staffing for each design activity and determine time to
completion for each task on the project schedule
• Work process quality, review, and drawing approval in the capacity
of a registered professional engineer in the state the work is being
performed
• Provide man hour and equipment estimates for project proposals
• Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize department
efficiency
• Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities
• Self-motivated with ability to work with others
Requirements • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or B.S. in Engineering
with equivalent I/E & control systems experience required
• 5+ years' experience required, 10+ years' preferred
• Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and Wonderware HMI
development a plus
• P.E. by exam required with the ability to be licensed in multiple
states
• Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Record of success working in a team culture
• Professional and ethical
• Willing to relocate to Houston, TX
• Strong Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Well developed, detail oriented organizational skills.
General Information Position locations include Odessa, Houston, and Dallas,
Texas, and will be based on the need of the location and position level/
experience of the candidate.
