Linux Character Device Driver September
2016 – December 2016
• Programmed a character device driver interface with open, read,
write, release functions and linked it into the Linux Kernel
• Synchronized the consumer and producer processes using counting
semaphore and wait-queue
Multi-Threaded Web Server September 2015
– December 2015
• Created dispatcher threads and worker threads to accept request
and serve incoming requests with POSIX threads
• Put request files information in the request queue and display
GIF, JPEG files onto Web browser.
• Synchronized the queue using Conditional-Variables and Mutex in
the POSIX library.
Ultrasonic Rangefinder September 2014 – December 2014
• Developed a hand-held battery-powered ultrasonic range finder on
solid PCB which was designed by Altium
• Used two ultrasonic transducers operating at 40K Hz to calculate
the distance based on Arm Cortex-M3 Microcontroller with C language.
• Implemented PWM to drive H-bridge to generate power supply, I2C
interface for LCD display
• Created and scheduled tasks, managed memory using μC/OS-III RTOS
. Debugged using J-Link debugger.
Low Power Camera System
December 2014 – May 2015
• Designed a battery powered camera system based 32bit
Microcontroller
• Captured an image by Infrared LS-Y201 camera, and transmitted the
image to Mbed Nucleo ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller via UART interface and
store file in SD card using SPI.
• Sent the image from Mbed to Nimelink SkywireTM 2G CDMA module
using UART, and transmitted data to Linux server platform through TCP.
