While the IMF's response to the Asian crisis may have been a foregone
conclusion, that didn't mean that it went unchallenged. From early on there
has been a chorus of disapproval, which has left the IMF's public image
badly battered. And some of the critics may have been at least partly
right--but only some of them, because the critics disagree more with one
another than they do with |
