afford to rent a new car, should I rent a 10-year old Buick
($100/year, 20 miles per gallon) or a 10-year old Toyota
($300/year, 40 mpg)? What does my choice depend upon?
Explain. | j******u 发帖数: 7 | 2 can treat the 100/y or 300/y as the fixed cost
1/20mpg and 1/ 40 mpg as flexiable cost
you may get the intersection
bf X time chose buick
af x time chose toyota

| m****e 发帖数: 10 | 3 it depends on your utility function. Given that you are very energy-conservative
minded, your utility function places more weights on how energy conservative
your car is.. and depending how much the weight is, you have different
conclusions. i mean, it all boil down to how you set up your model..
