wiki给的定义可以那么理解。好像也没有其他术语可以用。

样大吧。比方说没有free riding的Lindahl equilibrium里面也允许大家的
contribution不一样啊。

experiments，经常就按照你说的路子研究free riding in public goods。几个人一组
，讨论与不讨论，是否反复讨论，是否share背景上，影响free riding的程度。不过，
主流的public economics课程是不会这么教的。当年有个学期，我同时上主流的public
economics和非主流的social dielmma课，大家都谈free riding, 结果结论完全不同
。于是不同思想在脑子里面一个劲的打架，呵呵。

resource, or shoulder less
than a fair share of the costs of its production.
but the notion of "fairness" is controversial.
在public good的literature, fairness is "marginal social utility=individual marginal cost"，所以
contribution level 可以不一样。有
钱人可以贡献多，穷人可以贡献少，着不是free riding.
我定义的fairness是the same contribution level.根据我的定义， 只要你贡献的比
别人少， 你就是在free riding.
不知道有没有我这样定义的？

发帖数: 266 | 8 你自己的定义的确不合适，free riding本质上并不是公共物品成本在个体中的分摊问
题，而是公共物品提供的激励
不足问题 。可能是私有信息导致的，也可能是分散决策的结果。
个体提供公共物品有差异，本来是很正常的事情，因为个体对公共物品的偏好是不同的
。所以free riding，只有在
均衡时和first best比较public good supply才是有意义的。
不过empirical文章搞错概念的多了去了，记得很久前读过一片文章，把国际市场价格
对当地市场的price ceiling问
题，弄成是preemption.
