I am afraid you can't find too many school districts that will give you a
base salary of 50k. Please refer to my former posts.
工作不要太累
A high school math teacher might be a good one, although the first year of
teaching could be potentially grueling. After all, 累 is a subjective term
that is up to your own definition. |

I assume that the entry-level high school teacher can at least earn in the
middle 4W annually?
Today I talked with my mother-in-law who is a ESL teacher. She encouraged me
to study the Ed.M for mathematics. The demand for mathematical teacher is
quite high, she said, and the pay is relatively better than some other
subjects.
I was thinking of MBA but I am a home-oriented person. It is so nice to have
more valuable time |

not intend or bother to ask. And did I ever mention about taking a degree as
"hobby"?
I am asking specific questions about the concentrations of Ed.M. I would
appreciate if anyone can share some insights/experience.
However, it is always nice to have some quick response.:-) |

be able to pick her brain on your carrer choice. most people on this board
have different agenda from that of yours, people will hold onto jobs that
offer them a Greencard and a salary that makes ends meet. If you want to
fill your life fuller with hobbies, you have many other choices than
throwing your money into degrees that sometimes simply pile up some bull
crap.

Education. So your posts are so important for me.
My undergraduate is Economics so I was considering Econ,MBA, ect.
But my husband is applying for P/T Ed.D which arouses my interest in this
field.
My mother-in-law is a ESL teacher who loves her work and loves the time she
has spent with her two sons when they were little.That's also why she quit
her job at the bank and started as a teacher.

发帖数: 1435 | 12 teaching math is fun, I observed serveral math classes at a elementary
school. There is no need of advanced math knowledge to be a math teacher,
but you need to be creative with pupils and more important, present the
lecture using age-appropriate language for your class to comprehend. Fables
are commonly used to illustrate problem solving type questions. Rewarding
system such as tokens or candies will make your class animated.
