people"because many social worker get paid awful that their clients(those
special need people) live on welfare seem to be far more better than their
service providers. You have to be prepared before you step into this
profession.

发帖数: 1034 | 4 social worker 跟教师差不多待遇，如果是为公立校区工作的social worker的话
跟教师工资一样。
JUST FYI,美国有硕士学历的人群中，社会工作者薪水最低，比如COUNSELOR,我看到
一个SAN FRANCISCO的MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR才开工资3万的，又比如social worker，
又比如教师。在这里讨论工资是要让别的版的人笑话的...
至于special ed. 的 master好不好申请到奖学金，这个几率是跟其他教育系master
一样的，因为一般special ed.只是一个方向而已，都是下属于 Teacher Education这个
大系。
我以前申请的时候，投了8所学校，包括了U PENN.，都拿到了ADMISSION，最后拿到
一个3/4奖和一个半奖，咬咬牙就出来了。

formally enrolled in the
program.If you get enrolled, there will be opportunities to apply for graduate
assistanship. There
should be more chances for special education major to be a RA. And there are
other job opportunities
on campus.
