Thinkpad W with Intel WLAN card iirc, never got a solution (wifi works
flawlessly in Windows on the same hardware) |

well. |

What do you mean by "device cross AP"? Do you have multiple APs?
Using openflow to rewrite mac address of client seen by AP can solve the
problem. But you need openflow-enabled APs. Try to install openwrt and then
install openflow packages. You also need a controller (floodlight mayber)
and a simple java script to implement packet header rewrite. Then, the
client can act as it never roams :)
