columns in various materials (concrete, steel, wood, masonry).
- Gather all necessary design codes (ACI-318, AISC and Seismic Supplement,
NDS, Masonry, IBC, ASCE-7).
- Alan Williams' book "Seismic and WInd Design of Structures" is a must. IBC
Seismic Design Manuals (3 volumes) are also very good.
- During exams, write down all your assumptions and code ref sections, also
write down your thoughts and to-do-list if time is limit | d***n

What is IBC Seismic Design Manuals (3 volumes) ??? I only heard about the
seismic design manuals for UBC which is also 3 volumes? Would these manuals
be helpful for PE seismic exam in CA? Thanks much!!! | d*********n

code.

发帖数: 366 | 9 The 3-volume manuals are jointly written by ICC and SEAOC. The 2006 edition
is based on IBC-06, the last edition is based on UBC written by SEAOC alone.
Sorry I have no idea about CA exams. |
