我的offer letter上有几条我获得funding的条件要求 （All funding is contingent
upon meeting all of the following conditions），其中一条让我很担心：
You are required to obtain a "clear pass" score on the PhD preliminary oral
examination, which is based on basic undergraduate material, in the Winter
Quarter 2011.
winter quarter 2011也就是明年初了，但是并没有说明是哪个月，总是会是在明年1，
2，3月中的某个时间吧。我在学校网站上查了，每人应该有两次机会来考这个
preliminary exam，而且只有本科学位的可以在三年内过,可是我的offer letter要求
我一次过，而且时间这 | w*q
