and the caption show up later then the sound. I have to give up because I
usually get nothing even I keep listening for half-hour.

have enough vocabulary. If you don't know what the heck
the PLA is, how are you supposed to understand that piece
of news? Therefore, you should first read a lot of
newspapers, memorize how to spell and read world leaders'
names, hot spot locations, and sports heros. Once you
get the vocabulary, your listening will improve, at lease
for the news programs. Actually, news programs are
probably the easiest to understand. Try soap operas

is always a big headache for me.
