发帖数: 188 | 12 google一下就得结论有点太Frivolous了吧。如果说你有经历知道这个是special term
used in Christianity那还说的过去。还有可能就是大写和小写的区别
如果有特指可能就是 the Law. chrisitian 可能把那个站了有特指。但普通人可以用
the law来泛指。但我不觉得这么普通的说法因为他们用了别人就不能用了。就连God在不
同德地方用都可以，不一定是指耶和华。
从字面上来看spirit和essence是两回事，essence不是精神，是精华。概念都不一样的。
精神要是应该翻译成essence算我英语白学了。Austin Power的mojo是他的essence但他那
个人可能根本没有spirit.
英文中In the spirit of XXX 就是很平常的说法，翻译过了就是 本着XXX精神。
我的理解，欢迎批评指正。

system, you should know the theory of separation of powers. It's from the
masterpiece of Montesquieu, /De l'esprit des lois/, that this theory was
originated. The title, when translated to English, literally and
typically, is "the spirit of the laws".
