noun. but do someone/something justice is more of an idiom and there's
no
ambiguity whatsoever in its meaning, so there's no point in analyzing
that, just use the expression as is whenever you see fit.

get his little friend here justice means to make things fair/just for
him, which might imply undoing the effect of someone else's wrongdoing
upon him or just plain old revenge.
替天行道 is definitely a very poor translation as it has to do with
one's religion and there's no mention of that to begin with, why add
that to the translation? In chinese, the words 义 and 理 more
accurately describe the concept of justice.
Speaking of 道 taoism, taoism the religion is just ridiculous and
retarded and the saying 替天行道 definitely falls into this category of
taoism. I would think twice before I let something stupid like this
come out of my mouth. Taoism the philosophy, on the other hand, is
fine; though it's very hippie-esque, it still makes much more sense
than superstition.
