说个例子：
某城市wwtp，某天发现NPDES的一个毒理指标超了。当天ammonia-N 很高，于是，自然
认为是ammonia引起的。
由此，送mixed liquor到某microbiologist实验室，分析发现硝化菌已经没有了。
当时上游一个工业排放源的排出废水，在收集系统呈厌氧。于是怀疑是H2S作祟，害了
硝化菌们。此microbiologist建议，放碱调节pH，抑制厌氧反应。wwtp 听之，投大量
苏打，厌氧纠正了，结果再次毒理超标。这次原因是soda的投入导致conductivity太高
，再次引起毒理反应。
wwtp 没辙了，问我们怎么办。
分析过程很繁琐，不一一说。但是我们发现，上游那个工业，预处理流程里头，非常重
要的一个生物处理环节，他们居然擅自给停了。
下游的wwtp，当年设计人不知道什么考虑，买了siements一套orbal system设备。但是
后来实际操作，根本就没有安照去除氨氮的方法运行，而是把设备当成extended
aeration方式运行。要这样，当初为啥砸银子买那 |

your description. The problem is operation problem. Simens Orbal is
designed for nitrification and/or nutrients removal. The designing company
provided flexibility of plant operations to meet existing and future permit
requirements. In this case, plant operators should increase air feed rates
to increase DO residual in the bioligcal basin for nitrification process.

发帖数: 823 | 4 问题是厂子建成到现在，20年从来都是extended air mode。难道设计那人还想20年后
可能有啥需要？

发帖数: 1038 | 5 plant operations staff chose to run extended air mode not designer's
intention. It is not surprise that most of plant operations staff only hold
high school or associate degree.
