higher against the yen, which encouraged traders to bid up sterling and the
Swiss franc too.
The single currency broke out of Monday's tight Y122-Y122.2 range against the
yen and reached Y122.46 as European trading picked up pace before running into
resistance and easing to Y122.3.
"A test of the October highs looks to be on the cards if we see the momentum
