of reforms to encourage an economic upturn in his new term of office, as the
Bundesbank warned that planned tax rises might jeopardise already fragile
growth in the euro-zone's largest economy.
The central bank, reporting that German GDP rose a meagre 0.25 per cent in the
third quarter, said the government's fiscal proposals could damage the
investment climate.
