Dear All Fudan Alumni and Friends,
As you may recall, last summer we held the first Fudan Alumni USA Biomedical
Forum at NYC, which attracted almost 150 attendees from the East Coast.
Your active participation made it the kind of thought-provoking and
networking event we hoped it would be. It inspired us to build a biomedical
community among our alumni and bring all together with others of similar
interests.
As a result, Fudan Alumni USA Biomedical Chapter has been formed over the
past several months with a mission to maintain an active network of Fudan
alumni in the biomedical space. The chapter will be open to all Fudan
alumni and friends, and will continue to facilitate exchanges of ideas and
information by hosting educational and networking events. We will also
connect with other organizations in the field, and explore opportunities
bridging biomedical research between China and the US.
Now we are delighted to announce our Second Fudan Alumni USA Biomedical
Forum, which will be held at Columbia University on Sunday, September 11th,
2011. Our keynote speakers will be Mr. Ruilin Song (Executive Director of
Policy Center for Medicinal Research, Chinese Pharmaceutical Association;
Executive President of Chinese Pharmaceutical Industry R &D Association) and
Dr. James Boyd (Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs at Sanofi-
Aventis).

In addition, the biomedical chapter will initiate the first Career Mentoring
Program. It will aim to support career development of our members and offer
them an opportunity to interact and learn informally with a senior
professional in the biomedical field. More details and application forms
will be released at the Forum.
