请问这normal吗？Should we ask them to make it clear that "a tenure-track position for six years starting from the 2009/2010 acdemic year"? 请问你们的tenure-track offer 一般怎样？也要每年签合同吗？
另外下面的说法Standard吗？谢谢！

life insurance是benefits中的大项，那样写是正常的。有没有说什么时候可以申请
tenure呢？这个比较重要。

发帖数: 113 | 6 OFFER Letter 里没有写。但从学校网站上看到的相关Policy很详细，5年可以申请
tenure.
而且每年都有evaluation, and then sign a new contract for next year.
Is this standard?

发帖数: 113 | 7 Yes, this is an offer letter and they will issue an official contract in
June. Each year there is an evaluation, and based on that they will
reappointment for untenured faculty, and sign a new contract.
After 5 years, you can apply for promotion and tenure. Looks like for
tenured professor, they still need do the contract every year.
