标 题: research lab specialist 这个title好不好？

lg现在是post-doc，想跟老板提换个title,比如research investitor或者research
scientist之类的，但是可能因为h1b最低工资的限制，老板只愿意给换research lab
specialist，这个属于正式的staff，有人知道这个title好不好？我是说从职业发展的
角度，不是绿卡申请什么的， 听着怎么更象technician呢？以后还有可能换回
research scientist吗？

的活拿的薪水完全和post-doc一样。不在tenure track上。It's just a name, doesn'

payroll tile. For working titles,you can use whatever you and your boss want
, but payroll titles have to be approved by the university. |

assistant professor,之情的人也知道还是postdoc,偏偏国内的人还行。 |

are SOME research assistant professors who are PIs and have their own
funding and students. Especially, the most important thing is that this
title allows you to be a PI, and gives you potential for good future if you
want to work to that path. On the other hand, post-docs usually don't have
this kind of benefits. Also I know a lot of post-doc fellows don't have
retirement benefits.

postdoc还是不同的，干的活倒是一样

业发展的角度来说换不换呢，我们不在乎这个退休benefit。以后有可能回国

发帖数: 960 | 10 有退休计划，是按照staff对待的，这个title就是staff的title。完全看学校，老板怎
么定的，其实title有那么重要么？reasearch
assistant professor，其实不是高级postdoc么？国内的人听起来是好听的。如果以后
做的好，自然位置就涨去了。 |

干好，文章写好，faculty工作找好 |
