word + endnote + mathtype
maybe some money, yes
but it is so much faster in terms of inserting figures, arranging format,
adding tables, etc. also WYSIWYG is definitely a plus
for equation and figure number, you can do a good job with word using
fieldcodes
although I used to use latex and thought it was great, recently I found
using office is much faster
