I would like to check this with you guys since you may have more ideas about
this.
I'm doing my postdoc now, but the boss have no more money. He talked with me
recently and gave me idea that is I will apply grant by myself. If I'm
successful, I could be independent PI and become research prof. He said I
was going to write proposal this spring to support myself in fall if I could
get money. I know it;s not easy to get funding, but my question is if I
apply NIH or NSF in this spring, is | j**********a

开始找下家在时间上很紧张.另外, 你需要查一下你所在大学的政策,有些学校是不允许
博士后做PI的(research-track faculty是可以的). 如果那样的话,你成功了的
proposal还是你老板做PI,他可以把你变成RAP,那你也得等到下一个proposal再做PI了. | G*********o

你老板要是能50% chance拿到funding, 他/她就自己写了 even having you to write
the draft for him/her | L*******y

Learning how to write proposal is part of the training/experience you should
get at postdoc level. |
