发帖数: 90 | 11 same here. If we don't receive stimulus package, layoff is on the way. The
president didn't layoff any single person in the previous 3 years, but he
can't hold if off anymore in the coming years. Tenured faculty are probably
fine, but adjunct, non-tenured will be at risk.

fiscal year. However, we will still have merit-based salary increase and
almost every department is recruiting new faculty members this year.
What I heard is that the University plans to do a structural change on the
expenditure (e.g. reducing staff members and unnecessary cost, while
increasing faculty members).
