a***r 发帖数: 981 | 4 My husband's phd adviser is a Chinese and didn't have GC before going
up for tenure. He was promoted to associate professor but got
conditionally tenured contingent upon his greencard application.
He eventually got GC and tenure of course.
One of my colleagues was in backlog for EB2, but she applied for EB1b
through premium processing, and got GC a few weeks after she submitted
her EB1b application. If you are really concerned, you may try the same.
