今天据信中说‘The proposal was considered highly meritorious and was well
into the top quarter of the strong group that was considered this year’，请
问这是否是对每个被拒的applicant说的同样的套话? 我可以从中看出自己的申请材料
哪里不好么？
导师曾说申请postdoc fellowship最重要三个因素是：publication, recommendation
and proposal. 自己觉得前面两项应该还算过得去（并列一作Science,Plos Biol, 二作
Cell)；proposal中，现在做的部分有一些平淡，但是我有一个新的想法，自己觉得很exciting
；而且按照据信里的措辞，proposal应该不是很差。
很想知道自己的申请到底什么地方比较弱，好在以后的申请中更加努力；如果谁可以帮
我分析一下，并介绍一下一般选拔postdoc fellowshi |

发帖数: 100 | 4 Thanks for your advice. I've become a postdoc for half a year, and this was
a fellowship from JCC foundation. I'm curious why the selection committee
would care about my advisor's connection with them? In general, how is my
postdoc advisor's network going to affect the outcome of my fellowship
application?
Actually, my postdoc advisor recent publication record is not good and the
postdocs in his lab mostly ended up in industry. Would that be a big issue
for me to apply for things like K99 or BW? |

postdoc是老板的grant付，
所以fellowship你和老板关系平等，
postdoc你就是老板的员工，碰到mean的，或者你的工作太不productive,
日子就很难过

发帖数: 208 | 11 Getting post-doc fellowship sometime is just a matter of luck. Try a few
more agency and try to resubmit. It usually takes two or three tries to get
the private foundation grant. The funding line is usually 10% so... not
always have a clear reason. maybe they would like to fund more translational
topic. Keep trying and good luck! |
