postdoc没啥区别,就是钱多点,可以自己申请funding,可以带研究生,offer letter上还
写的是one-year renewable...NND..好处是research是我感兴趣的,location好,当地其
他机会也多,就是又要搬家. 而且salary还是没有到我的心里价位,negotiate过一次,人
家给加了$1000 (暴汗...) 想问下,类似这种位置有多大negotiation 空间,还是太鸡肋

if this is the only option you have, then you have no power to negotiate...
this may be is the reason of only $1000 increase for your first negotiation.
If you have other offers, then you've got power to negotiate. Tell them
that you have another offer but you want to go to their school and ask if
they can do anything to to help you make the decision ...
If you have no other option, and you do want to negotiate, then sit down and

发帖数: 175 | 9 谢谢上面回复的朋友们。 我家还有ld，如果一个人就比较 flexibile一些，所以不想
因为一个鸡肋offer搬家。 不过想我前面说的，location 很好，ld应该可以找到工作
，对我以后发展空间也大些。
我不是一定要离开现在的位置，所以不急。 也没有其他offer，我们这行领域太窄，不
论是工业界还是学术界opening都太少了，现在market又这么差。
谢谢sillypigg的回复，他们这个位置有个salary range, 给我的钱比midpoint还少$
4000，这是我比较郁闷的地方，也是我negotiate的基本。 而且我在这个领域也算比较
experienced了，publication也不错，presentation他们头也非常的满意,非常sincere
的样子。 所以我还是觉得可以再negotiate以下，没戏我就认了。
