author) to a good journal. After one week, I got following response from the
journal editor:
I believe that your manuscript would have a better audience in another
journal.
But I just want to submit to this good journal, since somebody else'similar
results were published on this journal, and mine is even slightly stronger.
I have published several papers in this journal before with my name as first
author and my advisor as corresponding author. Can I respond to the editor'
s letter and rebute with him/her? If I can, What should i list as reasons to
